I already tried exporting as a PNG sequence (which keeps the smoothness) and tried rendering it as an MOV in Blender, but the smooth edges are made hard there too. mov format or something, that, in the best case, doesn't produce files over 100MB but still maintains the alpha channel? is there a way to export in a compressed, like some kind of RGBA. export my composite properly, with different opacity and stuff andĢ. Here's a picture of the issue (I don't get how I upload images directly into the forum, so a short explanation about that would be a nice side effect of this issue and I could then add the image directly to this post )ġ. Now, the smooth edges and anything below 100% opacity are not displayed properly in the exported AVI.Īnything below 100% opacity is pushed to full opacity and all the feathered edges are straight, hard lines. Rendering as AVI 6 seconds become a 3.5 gigs large file, obviously, since it's lossless - but: I used masks and feathered them and I faded elements in and out. The only option in Hitfilm Express to maintain a transparent background is uncompressed AVI. I'm currently working on some lower thirds and that kind of stuff and I want to export it with transparent background (pre-keyed for the client to just drag on and be done).
